Ministers Musings

There seems to be so much in this world that needs fixed: global warming, desertification, food shortages, the depletion of the rain forests, the diminishing of certain species of animals, the scourge of drugs among young and older people, the war in Syria and on and on and on. Each of us cannot solve such problems on our own, so why care? Well we can either care or ignore it all. However as Christians we are called by God to care; Jesus said 'Blessed are the peace makers' and the Apostle Paul wrote 'Share one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ'. We can each of us do little things: donate to charities like Christian Aid, support and help peace promoting charities, write to and lobby MPs and MSPs, raise issues of moral and ethical importance among family and friends and thus raise their awareness, use the internet via Facebook and Twitter to raise awareness of certain issues. All of these methods can be used for good. When many voices join together they can become one big loud shout for the good of the world. Where there is a will there is a way. So use your will for the good of others and help make this world a better place and continue to pray for a better world too because the prayers of the righteous are heard and 'God moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.'
